We’ve helped Ripponden Junior and Infant School to slash its annual water charges by hundreds of pounds.
Our unique initiative is designed to help organisations across Calderdale reduce their energy overheads. We work with Kinect Energy Group, formerly known as Orchard Energy, in Elland as part of our 6C initiative which is operated in partnership with Calderdale Council.
Kinect Energy managed to get the school’s surface water charges cancelled after proving that the contents entered a watercourse, and not Yorkshire Water’s sewerage network, making a saving of £390 per year for the school. The charge was also cancelled historically, securing a refund of more than £2,000.
Ripponden Junior and Infant School’s business manager, Angela Fragley, said: “Having previously had contracts through the local authority, we found the transition very easy. We attended a seminar, where we were introduced to Kinect Energy, and a follow-up meeting was arranged at school.
“Since then, we have been very happy with the services and prices obtained by Kinect Energy. They also worked on our water consumption and charges, of which the outcome was very beneficial to us. I would certainly recommend Kinect Energy to other schools following our experience.”
Kinect Energy Group managing director, Amar Hussain, said: “The 6C initiative offers businesses in Calderdale the opportunity to pool resources with other organisations in the area which in turn, enables them to benefit from greater energy buying power and significant savings on energy bills.
“Being based in Calderdale puts our team at an advantage when working with local businesses, as we know the area and understand the local economy, which enables us to find the best deal for businesses and schools.”
